For day 3 of “TheDailyMarker.com” 30-day coloring challenge, I’m trying something entirely new to me… ATCs. I’ve never made any before. Or rather, I haven’t intentionally made any. I’ve made pocket letters, and on some of them, I did color stamped images. So I guess that would count as ATCs.

For these I used the red Staedtler watercolor marker on Strathmore Watercolor paper with a stencil from the Birthday Celebration stamp & stencil set, by recollections. This set isn’t available at Michaels any more, but you can find it pretty cheap on Ebay. Of course, any striped stencil will work for this.

Next, I added a sprinkling of stars to the striped background. I used moonstone Nuvo Glimmer paste and a stars stencil from Hero Arts. I didn’t have any blue glimmer paste, so I added some Pool alcohol ink from Ranger.

Then I used Tim Holtz Distress Inks and a City Scene Stencil to create a skyline. I used my Brother ScanNCut to cut it out (and it left me with the negative space to use on another project. 🙂 )
Once I trimmed the watercolor paper down and glued the skyline, I cut it into 3 2 1/2 in by 3 1/2 in ATCs.

I want to add a sentiment but didn’t have any stamps that would work. So I used my P-Touch label maker. (It’s an older version, over 10 years old and still doing great)
For those of you that choose to participate, I’d love to share your projects in my “Crafting with Debbie” Facebook Group and here on my blog.
To submit your photo, join the group, and message me that you’d like to add your photo. I’ll be creating an album for the challenge in the next couple of days.
Thanks so much for dropping by, and Happy Crafting. See you next time!
