Layered and embossed Christmas trees

I haven’t done much with layering stamps or multiple embossing, but these trees turned out pretty nice.  Next to decide whether to use this for one card or to cut them apart and make two… hmm…

Update!
I decided to cut them apart and use them for 2 cards.  Here is the result.  I love these and will have to make a bunch more.

I was so surprised at how easy this was.

I used Hero Arts® Clear Stamps – Color Layering Christmas Tree set for the first time using my Fiskars Easy Stamp Press (I use the Tim Holtz positioner more often, so I’m thrilled at how well this did using this other positioner) and 3 colors of green ink… there are 4 tree stamps.

The last one I used to add Hero Arts Unicorn White ink, and heat embossed Recollections Snow embossing powder.

Then I added the ball ornaments and star, embossing some in WOW! Metallic Gold Sparkle.

Then some more Unicorn White ink for the snowfall, embossed in WOW! Clear Sparkle.

These layered and embossed Christmas trees turned out so pretty!

I cut the trees apart, and popped them up on foam tape, outlined with some green glitter wrapping paper!

Yes, that is wrapping paper!

Use what you have!  You could use washi tape if you have it, but the cost is so low on the wrapping paper compared to washi or glitter card stock.

One roll will last me all season!

The final touch is some more of the gold embossing for the sentiment… it didn’t look as good on the red, so I stamped and embossed another sentiment and covered the original… looks so much better, and breaks up the red a bit too.

I have so many stamps that I haven’t used yet, and so many techniques I’ve seen on YouTube or on blogs that I haven’t tried out yet… This is going to be so much fun!

Thanks for dropping by and sharing my experimentations.  If you try out something new, I would love to see your creations.  🙂  Happy Crafting!!
