For today’s project, I’m trying out the new Beveled Sentiments 3D Embossing Folders from Spellbinders. I haven’t seen anything like this and love how the cards that I created using this unique collection turned out.
Each folder helps you create an A2 size card front with a sentiment as the focal image… but the sentiment is embossed into the paper!
I’m using the Beveled “A Gift for You” card front embossing folder. I combined it with a Simon Hurley stamp and a few embellishments from my stash to create a festive Christmas card. The result is stunning but super easy to make!
One of the things I love about this embossing folder is that it does all the hard work for you. The beveled sentiment stands out beautifully, while the 3D texture adds depth and interest. It’s perfect for creating elegant holiday cards in just a few steps.
Once the background was embossed, I played around with stamping some scripty text onto the folder before running it through my die-cutting machine. This gave the background a lovely, subtle pattern that complemented the raised sentiment perfectly.
To finish things off, I added some extra embellishments—poinsettias I had hot-foiled previously, along with Nuvo Drops for a pop of color. I love how this card turned out, and I think you will too!
Here is a quick look at the Holiday Cards that I created.
I’m also sharing pics over on Instagram, in my Facebook group and in my Discord Server. I’d love for you to check them out, hit the heart or like and let me know what you think in the comments.
And if you use any of my cards for inspiration, feel free to post in my group or discord server (in Discord, pic the Stream Showcase area and I’ll share your cards on my next livestream!)
Thank you!
I just love creating and sharing what (and how) I made what I made. And it wouldn’t be possible without you. Thank you so much for your continued support and inspiration.
