Hi everyone! It’s Debbie with Debbie J’s Crafting Corner, and I’m thrilled to share another fun project as part of Kendra’s Card Challenge 15 collaboration hop. Today, I’m working with a brand-new Halloween release from Crafty Stamp Company (formerly Copictopia), and I can’t wait to show you what I’ve come up with using Sketch 10 from Kendra’s challenge.

This card challenge is the perfect opportunity for you to get inspired and join in on the fun! Not only are there some incredible projects to check out from other talented crafters in this video hop, but there’s also a fabulous giveaway you won’t want to miss.

Let’s Get Crafty!

For today’s card, I’m using a stamp set from Crafty Stamp Company called “Cute and Creepy Caffeine”—which features adorable Halloween-themed coffee mugs. I started by selecting a few leftover pieces of patterned paper from my stash that I thought would perfectly complement the Halloween vibes of this card. You know how it is—we all have those favorite papers that we just can’t bear to use, and this was one of those cases! I used two strips of paper and layered them to create the background for my card.

Adding Some Grunge

For this project, I wanted to add a bit of a grunge look to the card. To achieve this, I used “Weeping Willow” ink to distress the edges of the orange cardstock that I used as my matting layer. The orange cardstock was just a bit too bright for the overall spooky feel I wanted, so this ink toned it down perfectly. After that, I created a black belly band that runs across the center of the card to cover up the seam and pull everything together.

Customizing the Sketch

Even though the sketch calls for a circle with a matting layer in the middle, I decided to skip that and go with the coffee mugs as my focal images. The mugs are just the right size, and I loved how they stood out against the darker background, especially with that extra pop of dimension from the foam tape.

Once I had all the pieces in place, it was time to add the sentiments. The stamp set has some fantastic Halloween coffee-themed sayings, and I chose “Nightmare Before Coffee” for Jack Skellington and “Fueled by Spooky Vibes and Coffee” for the pumpkin. How perfect are those for this project?

Finishing Touches

With everything in place, I popped both sentiments up on foam tape to match the coffee mugs, giving the entire card a cohesive look. You could definitely use action wobblers for the mugs to give it even more interactivity, but I decided to keep it simple this time and stick with foam.

And that’s it! My spooky Halloween Coffee Cards are complete, and I absolutely love how they turned out. I hope you do too! Be sure to check out the rest of the hop for more inspiration from the other amazing cardmakers participating in this challenge.
