The Card Maker Success Summit is the perfect place to kickstart your crafting journey!

This FREE, 4-day online event is specifically designed to help card makers develop the skills that’ll bring their cards to the next level. ✨

Hi Guys! I love hanging out with so many of you on my YouTube Channel. On January 30, 2024, I pulled out some of the NEW collection from Simon Hurley Create, and created some fun birthday cards.

Let’s Stamp and Color

I asked the chat which of the three huggable critters in the “Big Hugs” Stamp and Die Bundle they wanted me to use. I should have expected the answer… they wanted THEM ALL.

So I stamped with Versafine Clair Nocturn Ink, poured WOW! Clear embossing powder over the top and heated everything till the powder was melted. This is my favorite way to get a really good impression when I stamp. I’ve found that many other inks don’t get quite as dark or they smear… just like the Nocturn will if I don’t emboss. Plus that raised embossing is an easy way to take your cards up a notch.

Then I colored them up with my Spectrum Noir Markers.

OK… I didn’t finish the cards during the 1 1/2 hour livestream. I was having too much fun chatting with everyone in the chat… and I kept getting distracted.

During the “Member’s Only” pre-show I had pulled up comfy game for the chat (so I could try to get some adjustment to my stream setup). They liked it so much that I pulled it up in the main stream.

Did I tell you that we have fun in my livestreams?

The game is “Placid Plastic Duck Simulator” from Steam, and all it is is a bunch of rubber duckies floating around in a pool. This one I named “Caddie”. He is a Dragon Duck and breathes fire.

Let’s just say that I only managed to get the coloring done. My YouTube Lives are scheduled for 5:30 ET to 7:00 ET. I then redirect the chatters over to another crafty Live Stream held on my friend, Dawne’s, YouTube channel using YouTube’s redirection feature. We pretty much have a crafty party every week.

Let’s finish up the cards

The next morning, I started working on finishing up the cards so that I could mail them off to the winners from the previous night. ( I like to give away a card or two at the end of my lives.)

And then I thought, why not record the process?

These are just so fun… and now I need to make MORE since they have been mailed out to the winners in live giveaway. (If you’d like to win one of my cards, be sure to hang out with us during our weekly livestreams. I usually give away at least one of the cards created during the live)

These are just so FUN! Which is your favorite? Tell me in the comments!

If you make a card like these, please come share photos of your creations. I’d love to see them in my Facebook and Discord Groups. Come Join Us!

Thanks for joining me in some crafty fun!

Let me inspire you to create something great!

Because, if I can make it, YOU CAN TOO!
