Hey guys, it’s Debbie from Debbie J’s Crafting Corner! Today, we’re diving into the enchanting world of Spellbinders’ August 2023 club kits. I’ve got a delightful selection to share with you, featuring beautiful floral stamps, intricate dies, and more. So, let’s not waste any time and embark on this crafting adventure together!

Happy Hello Floral Cards

For the first card, I used the “Happy Hello Floral” Clear Stamp and Die of the Month set. I inked up one side of the embossing folder of the month, “Arches & Dots” with “Remember Me” ink (from Simon Hurley), creating a dimensional texture on medium blue cardstock. The focal image, stamped in the same blue ink, was die-cut and popped up with foam tape. I added a sentiment saying “Happy Hello” embossed in WOW clear embossing powder. The card was then adhered to a blue card base.

For the second card, I used “Bee Sting” Simon Hurley Ink, and stamped onto a white cardbase. I then die-cut the border of the flowers, creating a floating edge for this card, and added an embossed sentiment.

“Overflowing Floral” Glimmer of the Month

With the Glimmer of the Month set I foiled the floral pattern in gold and silver. For the silver one, I used the Overflowing Floral Stencil set to add color using inks from Simon Hurley and Catherine Pooler.

I adhered the panels to card bases and added sentiments to create elegant foiled cards.

Supplies

Stitched Floral Card Front

I got to practice some simple stitching using the “Stitched Floral Card Front” Stitched die of the month. The dies create a full panel covered in flowers and leaves. After stitching all these elements, I added the green card front panel to a white card base (to let some of the white show through some of the holes in the panel) and adhered all of the flower and leaf elements with liquid glue or foam tape. The center “hi” sentiment had added dimension from multiple layers of cardstock and a white backing. I also added an additional stamped and embossed sentiment saying “a little message to say…” and some white flat-back pearls to finish up the card.

“Blooming Pomegranate” Large Die of the Month

The Large Die of the Month for August is truly unique. And just lovely. Spellbinders is known for their floral dies. So it was only a matter of time before something like this came out. This large die set creates a pomegranate branch that is just covered with buds, blooms and pomegranate fruit. And the instructions on the packaging make it super easy to assemble all the pieces into a lovely design.

“Breezy Swing” Die of the Month

The “Small Die of the Month” set created a charming scene with a lady swinging. I followed the instructions, assembled the pieces, added a sentiment, and the card was complete.

OK…. I did add a little extra to that last card. Did you see it?

The new Wax Seal Clubs have been so popular that Spellbinders hasn’t had them available to sent out to their Influencer team… and I finally receive the August Club on the day I started editing the video. So I just had to include it in our collection. The wax in the kit just happened to be a perfect pink and matched this last card so nicely.
