I just got in the new Scrappy Tails Trifold Christmas Collection so it’s time to make another Christmas Card! And I have more ideas for using these fun dies!
It’s November, so that means that it’s Christmas Crafting Time! OK… I’ve been making Christmas Cards since July. But who doesn’t need a couple hundred cards to choose from when mailing them out after Thanksgiving?
So, I went LIVE on YouTube and Twitch this past Tuesday November 19th, 2024, and I pulled out some of the New Release from Scrappy Tails Crafts. Our livestreams are so much fun, and I love how engaged the chat is every week… so I actually PREPARED for the project!
I know. You are SHOCKED, right? It’s also the secret to this card. There are so many details included in Sabrina’s (with Scrappy Tails) die sets that cutting them all out (once you decide what to use and what to wait on) takes a bit of time. And I took it up a notch this time by cutting multiples and layering them up to create the dimension that I love so much. This has a different effect (although similar) than using foam.
OK… I used some foam too.
Even in the photos you can see the depth that the little extra cardstock created for scene. But, if I had it to do over (and I’ll probably do a similar card) I’d be sure NOT to skip the chair. It’s the only thing in the entire scene that looks flat.
