Let’s look at what I made with the Glimmer of the Month and Large Die of the Month
This month, I created a few projects using these sets already. Of course, I started playing without the camera on.
For this first card, I started playing with the Large Die of the Month Kit, “Hex Kaleidoscope Slimline”, while my computer was busing “processing” another video. I just wanted to play! And my computer doesn’t like recording AND video processing at the same time…. hence the lack of video.
You probably noticed the glimmer sentiment. Yes. It’s from the August Glimmer of the Month kit, “Hex Floral”. These “HEX” kits work great together!
My second hard uses the August Glimmer of the Month kit, “Hex Floral”, and the Watercolors Set Neutrals ArtEssentials by Jane Davenport.
Again, this card was created off camera. This time is because I didn’t know whether you could watercolor OVER the foiling, or what the effect would be.
I didn’t water down the colors too much, I think, so it retained a lot of it’s color saturation. And the colors are pretty opaque. The sections that were more watered down didn’t have any trouble with the foil, and did not cover the foiled goodness. The thicker, more opaque paint did cover the foil, but the lines from the design are still visible.
Since I didn’t get the first two cards on film, I made a couple more projects and created a couple of videos for you.
The first let’s you see all four projects. Because I used watercolor on one of the first cards, I decided to pull out my Magic Wand Colored Pencils ArtEssentials by Jane Davenport and get in some practice. So the coloring is sped up A LOT in this video. But, since many of you like seeing real time coloring, I’m giving you that as a second video.
I hope you check them both out, and let me know in the comments here (and on the videos) which type you like better.
