I am loving all of the new Releases from Spellbinders for January and I just couldn’t wait to start playing. Check out all of these cute cards that I created before the release day Livestream on January 10th.
Jack of All Trades
These were so EASY!
I’ve been livestreaming on Twitch on Thursdays (come hang out!) and pulling out what’s in my To Do bin.
For this set of cards I just used The Deluxe Deck Press Plate in my Betterpress for the backgrounds, the Enchanting Suit Facets Press Plates with hot foil in my Glimmer for the focal points, and the Shuffling Sentiment Press Plate and dies (again with hot foil) for the sentiments.
This design is PERFECT for quick and easy mass produced cards.
Vivid Expressions
This turned out so pretty.
When I get an embossing folder, especially the 3D emboss and cut type, I have to try them out to see how it will look.
I fell in love with the roses and butterflies on the Blooming Butterflies 3D Emboss & Cut folder. This is the first card that I created with just some messy blending on the raised edges of everything. It looks a bit like watercolor so I blended some blue ink on a panel, splattered it with water, and the card is done.
Bougie Birthday
Here is another card that I made LIVE on Twitch.
The cake in the Ganache Gateau die set is BIG. So my first thought was to create a cake shaped card. The chat loved the idea, so that’s what we did.
I used a heavyweight pink cardbase and use the main die to create my cake. Then I decorated it in pink foil cardstock from my stash, some fun Macarons that are included in the die set, and a Happy Birthday sentiment from the Birthday Cheers Die Set.
Classic Pooh
Did anyone else react the way I did when I saw that Spellbinders was releasing a Classic Pooh Collection? I just had to have it.
Here is the first card I created using the Pooh & Friends Silhouette Die and an ink blended background that has been hanging out in my stash for a while.

Simon’s Space Adventure
OK. I couldn’t help it. When I saw this collection from Simon Hurley, I HAD to make the rocket “Blast Off’ with a light from Pear Blossom Press.
