Celebrating with a BANG! using the NEW stamp & die of the month from Not 2 Shabby!

I’m excited to share with you my recent card project featuring the new Stamp and Die of the Month from Not Too Shabby. The “Oh My Stars” stamp set includes adorable little animals such as a bunny, a raccoon, a bear, and a couple of foxes, all dressed up for the Fourth of July celebration. It also comes with summer-themed items like ice cream cones, popsicles, and stars, which make it perfect for crafting projects that celebrate the summer season.

Let’s start stamping!

To start, I used my Misti to stamp out all the little critters. I found this process super easy and efficient, and I wasn’t too worried about how dark the images came out on the first stamping. I knew I’d be going back over them with some embossing later on. I left everything in my Misti so that it would be in the right position when I returned, and I made sure to line everything up with the grid mark to ensure perfect placement.

Let’s add some color!

Next, I colored the animals with Spectrum Noir Markers and the critters turned out so cute. Once all the stamping and coloring was done, I used coordinating dies to cut out all the little animals. I was a little nervous at first because the dies cut very close to the line, but everything ended up lining up perfectly.

How about a striped background?

Now it was time to create the background for my card. I had a few different ideas, but I ended up going with a red, white, and blue theme using some Catherine Pooler blue suede shoes and colorful hive telephone box inks. To create the stripes, I used some thin washi tape as a mask and applied the inks to one side of the tape. I then removed the tape to reveal a fun, patriotic pattern.

To finish off the card, I used some of the “Celebrate with a Bang” sentiments, as well as the cute little raccoon blowing off some fireworks in the background. I also added a red matting layer behind the red, white, and blue stripes to make everything pop.

Overall, I’m very happy with how this card turned out. The “Oh My Stars” set from Not Too Shabby is a must-have for any crafter who wants to create fun and colorful projects. I appreciate the quality of the products, from the crisp and clear stamps to the smooth and precise cutting dies. The coordinating dies made it easy to cut out all the little animals without any fuss.
