Franken-Cute Fun!
Our creative adventure begins with the adorable “Franken-Cute” Stamp Set from Picket Fence Studios. Trust me; this set is just friggin’ cute! But before we delve into the stamping magic, I have a fun idea to create rustic wood panels that will add a touch of whimsy to our card.
I pulled out the Texture Fades Lumber embossing folder from Sizzix Alterations to create these delightful wood panels. A touch of Simon Hurley’s weeping willow ink gave them a lifelike wood grain texture that’s simply fabulous!
Adding Character to Frank
Now, let’s bring our lovable Frankenstein monster to life! Using Simon Hurley’s later gator ink, I stamped Frank in multiple layers, adding some shady for a deep, dark green shade. He’s turning out to be a true masterpiece!
To make Frank’s details pop, I used WOW! clear embossing ink and WOW! clear embossing powder to keep those lines crisp and sharp, even after adding some color.
The Magic of Lights
Now, the real magic begins as we add lights to our card! I carefully created a vellum layer to form Frank’s eyes and used a craft knife to cut them out with precision. With lights peeking out behind his eyes, Frank comes to life with an enchanting glow!
Creating the Haunting Atmosphere
To set the eerie scene, we designed a window frame using the same wood panels we crafted earlier. Frank appears to be peeking out into the unknown, adding a touch of mystery to the card.
