Add to Cart

Today I’m making three 3D shopping cart cards using the NEW “Add To Cart” Collection from Spellbinders.

Can you imagine how excited I was when I saw the collection for the first time… I mean just the photos? I thought “Oh my God! That cart is so cute”! Plus it’s perfect for pretty much any occasion…. well… maybe not a “no spend” for craft supplies. But it would be great for pretty much everything else!

So a couple of weeks ago, right after doing my Tuesday Night Live, I started a “test” livestream to try out the Streamyard Giveaway Tool… it works great. And a bunch of folks dropped back into the new livestream.

I mentioned what I was planning on working on next and they wanted to see it… so I built my first shopping cart on a livestream!

I had to go with red for Target! And it turned out so cute.

They aren’t hard to do, and I made a bunch more for this video…. and they get easier with every assembly.

First 3D shopping cart card

For my first 3D shopping cart card, I used some pretty pastel pumpkin pattern paper from my stash. I used a couple of patterns for the background and matting, and fussy cut out some pretty pumpkins from another page to put in my cart on foam tape.

It turned out just lovely!

Second 3D shopping cart card

For my second 3D shopping cart card, I used some Christmas pattern paper (did you see what I did there… I’m ACTUALLY using stuff from my stash! YAY!) that had a BIG scene. So this card is a 5×7 so that I can fit it in. There is a lady shopping and looking in a store window… now I know that as well as she is dressed, she would NOT be pushing a shopping cart down the street. But Hey… maybe this is an indoor mall that has carts. Who knows. LOL

Anyway, I gave her a cart with a decorated tree, some wrapped packages, and some super fun high heel shoes! The shoes are from the Party on! add-on, and the packages and tree are from the Holiday and Presents add-on.

Final 3D shopping cart card

For my final 3D shopping cart card I did something a little different. I noticed that all the little bits that came out of the die when I cut the shopping carts out would be perfect as confetti! So I made a shaker card.

I did struggle with creating the shaker because I tried to fit it into the cart AFTER the cart was assembled…. I think that assembling the cart around the shaker box would work better, so I’ll try that next time and let you know how it works out. (be sure that you are subscribed to my YouTube and blog to see what happens!)
