I just love how my first card, “Outstanding Cockatoo”, for the Scrappy Tails Crafts Design Team turned out. I’m a little out of practice with my alcohol marker coloring, but I think this one is just lovely. What do you think? Would you like to see more coloring videos from me?
Yep. I did it again.
I just joined another design team. This time I’m going to be creating for Scrappy Tails Crafts and Ms. Sabrina Leavell. I will be a part-time design team member meaning I’ll be doing one project a week on video unless I decide to do more.
So today I’m going to do a quick Scrappy Tails Haul video and create a first project that is for today’s Instagram hop and GIVEAWAY. This is not my regular video for Scrappy Tails Crafts. That will be starting in July.

I had so much fun making this “Outstanding Cockatoo” Card for the Instagram Hop
The Tropical Bird Stamp set from Scrappy Tail Crafts is HUGE and has lots of highly detailed stamps of these lovely birds. I haven’t colored a lot of tropical birds. So this was really fun to experiment with. I chose the Cockatoo and looked up some photos on Google Images for reference before pulling out my markers.
For the coloring, I’m using Spectrum Noir Markers. I’m also using Gina K Obsidian Black Amalgam Ink for the stamping because it works well with alcohol markers.
I fussy cut out all of the images (there are dies available for this set… I just don’t have them…yet!)
Then I pulled out some pattern paper scraps that were perfect for my card and added everything to the front of a mini-slimline card base.
