Today I’m doing some quick planning for Creativation 2022 week. This has been such a busy week. And time has NOT been on my side.
I’ve been doing a lot of recording and editing so that I can get some Spellbinders April Club Kit project videos uploaded. One of the things I’m wanting to improve is managing my time so that everything is done ahead of time, instead of last minute crafting. This is probably the first time that I’ve gotten this many projects ready to release… except for blog posts. I’m re-thinking how I do those.
While I’m writing this, I realized that I hadn’t shared LAST WEEK’S spread with you yet… so I’ll include it here. The layout turned out so pretty, and I’m using the same basic layout for THIS week… because I just love it so much! While I am still experimenting, this MAY become my go-to spread!
You may remember that I added a fitness section to my planner. Over the last month or so, I started adding my steps and bike rides, just writing it in. So I’m finally at a place that I THINK I know what I want to track and focus on.
I used pattern paper and washi tape to create a basic fitness layout a couple of weeks ago to see how I liked it. NO. There was barely enough room for add the stats that I currently track for riding my bike. So, last week, I changed it up and created more space! This looks so much better!
Now I just need to use it.
Here is the video where I put together those two layouts.
How to use Die Cuts in your planner.
I’m also adding a full transcript from the video in case you want to find something specific. This was pulled directly from the video, so I’m sorry for any punctuation, spelling, or other errors.
On to this week’s Quick Planning for Creativation 2022 week
Creativation 2022 actually started on Thursday. I live in Orlando, where the event was held this year, and offered to help Spellbinders with setup. I am so happy that they said YES!
I spend most of my time for the next several days at the Orange County Convention Center… which left NO time for crafting. It was also the first time in a few years since I stayed on my feet for that long. So everyday I was pretty much wiped out by the time I got home.
When I got home on Sunday, I put together this “quick and dirty” planning video. That just means that I put very little thought into it. But I think the layout turned out so pretty and fun… and I just used washi tape and Spellbinders ephemera!

One of the things I’ll be tracking in my planner is when I mail out the cards that I give away after creating them on some of my regular videos.
I’ve also started a new Facebook group (Planning Crafters) with my friend Elizabeth Costa-Roger for crafters like me can help each other keep each other accountable by sharing how we are each using our planners, learn more about planning for crafters and just figure out the whole planning thing from a crafter’s point of view.
If this is something that YOU would like to be a part of, check out the link further down this blog post.
